With the Guild's intent to promote the validation journey to ‘The Badge’ a formal Annual Dinner for ‘Badged Guides’ of the Guild is held on a chosen Friday in August. The Guild's Annual Golf Championship Every year on a Friday in August The Guild of Battlefield Guides hold their Annual Golf Championships at a Golf Course on or near to a battlefield. Guild members are encouraged to invite golfing guests. In the morning all members from the Golf Club concerned are invited to a presentation on a battlefield subject. Richard Holmes Memorial Lecture 2018
The Battlefields Trust is pleased to announce that the 2018 Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Professor Peter Gaunt, well known specialist in the mid –17th century, and author or editor of 15 books concerned with aspects of the civil war in Wales, England, and Britain as a whole. Guild Annual Weekend and AGM 2019
The Guild Annual Weekend and AGM will take place January 18th - 20th 2019. Guild Recce – Redcoats in the Pyrenees: 26-30 July 2019
A Pyrenees Recce is scheduled for 26-30 July. This 5-day Recce visits the 1813-14 Peninsular War battlefields of the Pyrenees and follows the footsteps and actions of an army that had been built and nurtured by a great leader over the five preceding years. Annual Conference and AGM 2020
Our Annual Conference and AGM weekend will be held in the Mercure Great Danes Hotel, Maidstone. The hotel is located just off Junction 8 of the M20. Our theme for the weekend will be the Battle of Britain and we plan to include the usual mix of activities - validation opportunities, Guild AGM (Saturday afternoon), Guild Awards Dinner, a quiz, bring-and-buy stall, and a range of speakers.
