Guild Webinar “A Research Journey”

Chris Finn, the Accreditation Director, will be presenting the next in the Guild Webinar series, entitled A Research Journey.

The subject will be researching the Korean War Battle of the Imjin, in particular the role of the artillery in that battle, for a talk he has delivered both on-line and to live audiences.

Chris will take the audience through the research process thus:

• The initial scope of the talk.
• Identifying the areas for research.
• Identifying key sources and where they could be found.
• How to thread the minefield of the National Archives’ on-line catalogue.
• Bringing all the sources together.
• Creating the talk.
• What a second round of research found.
• What the pitfalls and the reward were.
